JS Bach Datamatrix Tattoo

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

Turns out a MIDI file of the C Major fugue from book one of The Well Tempered Clavier compressed with bzip2 compression is 1542 bytes. That’s too big for a single Datamatrix image. I’m going to split the 27 bar piece into two pages and get smaller, lower resolution tattoos of each page on opposing forearms. Images posted here when I can generate them from Lilypond.

P.S. It also appears that I may be doing something original, or at least original to Google. I’ve searched online considerably for others with datamatrix tattoos and the top link is my own blog.

Pics! This is a terrible, terrible idea for a tattoo. Back to the drawing board, to perhaps find something that’s under 100 bytes.
