DJBdns and FreeBSD 6 ports

It appears that the port of djbdns in FreeBSD 6 is broken. I’ve been fighting with it for over an hour to get tinydns running. It won’t do anything but tell me

pgsql-4:/service# svstat /service/tinydns
svstat: warning: unable to read status in /service/tinydns: file does not exist

so I’m telling it fuck you, and installing from source.
